Lifetree team!

Wow. This year has gone by so fast. Can you believe we just had our last team for the summer?

So speaking of our last team, we just hosted our third Lifetree team at Emmaus!
It was such a great week. So many new friends made, so many things accomplished.

They finished painting the men's dorm...

They beautified the solar project...

And by the end of each day, just about all of us looked like this...

In the evenings we hung out around campus, and one afternoon we chopped up coconuts to drink!

One of the things we did with the team was take them up to the Citadel!

I loved all the sweaty pictures we took throughout the week...

View from the top...

I love walking through the corridors of that big fort...

The Palace... gorgeous as ever

My Momma and me...

What a beautiful place.

We did a VBS at a local orphanage called Streethearts (do you remember me mentioning them before?) and it was a blast!

We did skits, played sports, made crafts, and giggled with the wonderful kids there...

Showing off the crafts they made...

My adorable little friend...

These kids are so easy to love...

Making crafts...

Ethan and his buddy...

Natalie and her's...

Me and mine...

After Streethearts we took a tour of the local clinic...

Being silly as always...

Accidentally matching is always fun

What a great week.
Thank you guys for blessing us with your joyful presence on our campus!

So one of the things that I have enjoyed doing so much has been managing our Emmaus Giftshop!

For an update on Pepper... He is still adorable and a great friend...

He may be short but he sure is feisty...

As most of you know, we are heading back to the States for the summer!
I love my Haiti home, and I am gonna miss never wearing shoes :)
...but I'm so excited to see family and friends!

Bye-bye beautiful mountain... see you in August!

Please keep us in your prayers as we make our way through the U.S.!

  2. What a great story of this special week. you sure are meeting lots of friends. The scenery is certainly beautiful. You must mean a lot to those little and big fellows at the Streethearts. Their smiles tell it all. I hope to get to see you when you get to West Park.
